london landmarks half marathon 2019
On Sunday 24th March, seven supporters (Jonny, Lucy, Caroline, Gareth, Hayley, Debbie and Steph) and one of our founding trustees (Natasha) pounded 13.1 miles of London pavements in the Landmarks Half Marathon, created by the children's charity Tommy's. Between them they have raised thousands of pounds to support our families in need, and for this we are forever grateful. The run was a personal achievement for all, but every single one of them ran those 13.1 miles for totally selfless reasons.
MSS had our very own cheer station led by Anita and Kim (Founder and Founding Trustee) and Karen one of our biggest supporters.
The atmosphere was electric. There were thousands of people spurring our runners along with cheers of support. The event was so well organised, with fantastic music, fancy dress galore and celebrations of everything that makes our capital city a one-of-a-kind.
We cannot say thank you enough to all of our runners, our volunteers, our 'staff', their supporters, and mostly to Tommy's and the LLHM Team who have been absolutely fantastic supporting smaller charities like ours with this event.
We hope that next year we will have a team at least double this size. If you would be interested in running for any of our future events, please do get in touch.
